The roots of Central Security & Fire were established back in 1995; Duoguard was founded by Ron Care, a former BT Engineer and keen inventor. He identified there was a need to introduce security systems, that were predominantly used in the commercial sector, into the domestic market.

He created one of the first wireless intruder alarm systems in the UK, which has now become common place in todays market. On the back of this, Duoguard was formed.

Utilising his many years of electronics and telecommunications experience, he quickly built a reputation for finding solutions for the most complex of scenarios, a feat which could not be matched by the national companies.

After 22 years of providing security system excellence, Ron sold Duoguard in 2017 and has now taken up a consultancy role, ensuring his experience is retained within the company.

 

Following a merger with Central FM Group, Duoguard is now trading as Central Security & Fire, the company is under new leadership, with the emphasis on keeping the original business core values but providing dynamic & innovative solutions to all scenarios, irrespective of size or complexity.
